Our New Filling Spaces Storefront-The path to opening has started

Filling Spaces, established in 2006 is happy to report that our new showroom location is being readied for an early October opening. Filling Spaces, in portland, is a one-of-a-kind showcase for an extensive private collection of textile, bedding, draperies and pillows.

Construction for our Filling Spaces Storefront in Film City is underway! With just over 800 square feet of showroom space, our new location is at 935 NW 19th in the Film Exchange Building .We will cater to the abundant architectural /design and retail clientele ...already using the amazing wholesale resources of Filling Spaces.
The Film Exchange Building opened in 1930 with tenant Paramount Pictures, and attracted other studios like Fox, RKO, Columbia and Warner. It has private screening rooms, film vaults and other unique features, and over the years has played host to many renowned actors and directors. Check out the building’s blog for more on the building’s history, and some great photos and renovation updates.
Speaking of history, we are pleased to continue the history of  Landfair Furniture + Design Gallery. The paperstone-topped counter, where Beverly Landfair conducted her business, has been recycled in our storefront.  Here is a picture of its removal:

BTW, Coming soon will be the addition of an exquisite furniture/furnishings line. More soon!
